Dasho Tshering Dorji, Hon’ble Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs successfully completed his tenure
Dasho Tshering Dorji, Hon’ble Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs successfully completed his tenure as a Government Secretary as of February 7, 2017 after more than 32 years and 10 months of dedicated service to the Tsa-Wa-Sum.
Dasho started his career in the then Ministry of Trade and Industry as a Trainee Officer in 1984 and as an Attache until 1988. He was transferred as the General Manager to Bhutan Agro Industries Limited and to Bhutan Polythene Company in later years. Dasho was appointed as the Dzongdag of Pemagatshel Dzongkhag in 1997 and was appointed as the Dzongdag of Samtse Dzongkhag in 2002.He became the Managing Director of National Housing Development Corporation in 2003. In the following year, Dasho was transferred as the Chief of Protocol. Prior to his appointment as the Secretary for the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs in 2012, Dasho served as the Ambassador in Dhaka and Bangkok. His service was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2015. Dasho served the Royal Government of Bhutan at various capacities (including his services at the highest level) for more than 32 years and varieties of positions he held during his entire career is the biggest testimony of success in his contributions.
